Palmer scored both of Chelsea's goals in Saturday's disappointing 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge against relegation-threatened Burnley, who were reduced to 10 players in the first half at 0-0. His goals, one of which came from the penalty spot, were effectively responsible for Pochettino avoiding an embarrassing home defeat. Palmer himself also suggested that Chelsea are guilty of being their own worst enemy.

Speaking after the game, Pochettino said: "[Palmer] scored twice and he is a good example for the rest. From day one, he took responsibility for penalties, for the game. When you see the team struggles to find solutions, they give the ball to him to solve."

Palmer has scored 16 times and provided 12 assists across all competitions this season, registering goal involvements in 28 of his 35 appearances since arriving in September. Raheem Sterling is next on 19, with Nicolas Jackson is third on 16, but Palmer is the only player to hit double figures in both goals and assists this term.
DID YOU KNOW?
Prior to joining Chelsea, Palmer had scored only six goals in his entire senior career. He matched that tally with his sixth goal for the Blues in only his 16th game and has since far exceeded it.
