Many Everton fans have been discussing Norwich City midfielder Emiliano Buendia on Twitter after Squawka revealed some of his outrageous stats for the 2019/20 Premier League season to date.
Squawka tweeted that only the 23-year-old and Leicester City’s James Maddison had recorded more than 30 tackles made, chances created and take-ons completed, with the Argentine actually having 50+ in all of the categories.
67 take-ons completed, 62 chances created and 50 tackles made in 21 top flight outings is certainly no mean feat, with Buendia having seven assists to show for it for the club currently lying bottom of the standings.
Of course, it is no surprise that those statistics have caught the eyes of Toffees supporters, especially with their club really lacking creativity in the middle of the pitch right now with Gylfi Sigurdsson repeatedly coming under criticism for his performances this term – he has one goal and one assist in 20 Premier League appearances.

Many Everton fans have produced positive responses to Buendia, with some urging the Merseyside outfit to bring him to Goodison Park and one individual saying they need the South American instead of the underperforming Sigurdsson.
One supporter chose to compare Buendia’s stats to those of Maddison, who is seen as a rising Premier League star due to his performances for Leicester City.
