Manuel Pellegrini needs to use one of these two options, as he surely can’t keep allowing games to pass by without trying to do something different when it is obvious that Roberto’s form is a big issue for the team.
He is coming under growing pressure, with various managers being linked with his job, including Eddie Howe.
Therefore, there can be an argument made that Pellegrini is potentially putting his job at even further risk if he continues to go on without changing things.
Roberto simply can’t carry on in goal, considering just how calamitous he has been on such a regular basis.
