After Liverpool left-back Alberto Moreno revealed that he is unhappy at the club, it looks like the Spanish international’s time at Anfield is up.

The 26-year-old has made over 130 appearances for the Reds since signing from Sevilla in 2014, but has never truly convinced fans of his quality, which is why he has since lost his spot in the team to the outstanding Andrew Robertson.

Moreno is unhappy with his lack of game time, but one side that could afford to give him all the playing time he wants is Newcastle, who have just one recognised left-back in their squad in Paul Dummett.

Rafa Benitez, another Spaniard, would most likely take his fellow countryman to St James’ Park without a second thought, as that area of the field is a problematic position in particular.

However, it all comes down to if Mike Ashley is willing to back the former Real Madrid boss in the market.
