Heaven was seen writhing in pain after his foot fell under the body of Patson Daka during United's 3-0 win at Leicester City in the Premier League on Sunday. He had to be carried off on a stretcher amid fears he might miss the rest of the season.

"It's hard to understand because when he was on the ground he could not speak," Amorim told a press conference. "He's so young, its hard to understand what he's feeling. We'll see next week."

Heaven, who joined the club from Arsenal in January, was making just his fourth senior appearance for United and his first Premier League start after an impressive 45 minutes off the bench last week against Arsenal and a solid full debut in the Red Devils' 4-1 win over Real Sociedad. He had looked comfortable during the match, making an impressive block on Wilfred Ndidi's first-half effort and also calmly winning possession back outside his own area to halt a dangerous Leicester breakaway.
DID YOU KNOW?
Heaven's injury leaves United with just two three fit experienced defenders in the squad: Victor Lindelof, Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui. Amorim gave Harry Amass – who was celebrating his 18th birthday – his senior debut when he brought him on in the second half. Heaven's injury worsened a dire situation for United in defence, with Harry Maguire, Leny Yoro and Luke Shaw already missing.
