The Reds have already added Cody Gakpo to their ranks, but who could be on their way out of Anfield this month?
With one signing already completed, Liverpool’s January transfer business is well underway. Cody Gakpo’s £44 million ($52m) switch from PSV caught many fans by surprise, as the Reds added yet another young, promising attacker to their ranks.
It remains to be seen whether that is the last of the incomings at Anfield in the winter window, with the club’s need for a midfield refresh becoming more apparent with each game.
In terms of outgoings, however, we should expect some movement between now and January 31.
GOAL runs through some of the players who could be on their way out this winter…

Liverpool have done pretty well moving on fringe players in recent years, raising money through the sales of players such as Neco Williams, Marko Grujic, Harry Wilson, Takumi Minamino, Xherdan Shaqiri and Taiwo Awoniyi.
Phillips, though, has been retained, partly out of necessity and partly because the Reds have been unable to find a club willing to pay their asking price.
At 25, the centre-back is surely ready to go and play regular football, and though he is adored by Jurgen Klopp, his staff and his team-mates, there is an acceptance within Liverpool that he is worth more than being merely a fifth-choice option.
Whether he moves on this month will depend on what kind of offers materialise. He is valued at £10m ($12m) and has had interest from the likes of Bournemouth and Fulham in the past.
A loan move, with an option to buy, is the likeliest outcome.

Are these the final months of Keita’s Liverpool career? As of January 1, the Guinea international is free to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with an overseas club, with the Reds unable to agree an extension with the 27-year-old.
Keita has recently returned to first-team action after a lengthy injury lay-off, and with Liverpool’s midfield looking weak all season, he could well find himself back in the team before too long.
It seems unlikely, then, that he would be sold in this window, especially with interested clubs knowing they could land him for free in a few months’ time. The transfer market, however, can be a strange place, and desperation can make clubs do strange things.
If an offer arrived, Liverpool would have to consider it.

Klopp believes Kelleher is “the best No.2 goalie in the world”, but what happens if somebody wants to make him their No.1?
At 24, the Ireland international has made fewer than 30 senior professional appearances, and though he can hardly argue at being deputy to Alisson Becker, he probably is one of the few genuinely saleable assets within Liverpool’s squad at present.
It would be surprising if he were sold in January, but it would certainly not be surprising if he looked to move on in the summer. And he should have no shortage of suitors if so.

Liverpool managed to get a couple of young midfielders out on loan in the summer, with Tyler Morton joining Blackburn Rovers and Leighton Clarkson moving to Aberdeen.
Both have done well, but left behind was Cain, a 21-year-old who has been forced to content himself with Under-23s football after a successful spell in League Two with Newport County last season.
He won’t ever become a first-team regular at Anfield, but the versatile, left-footed schemer is good enough to have a Football League career, and it would be a surprise if he did not move on in January, most likely on loan.
