Tottenham had a hectic few minutes on Tuesday afternoon as they announced two deals that have been talked about for some time this month.
One was the departure of Christian Eriksen, who has joined Inter Milan after six-and-a-half years in North London, for a fee of £16.9m.
Meanwhile, his possible long-term replacement Giovani Lo Celso has also be confirmed as a permanent signing for Spurs, having arrived at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last summer on an initial loan deal until the end of the season.
His impressive form has led him to quickly win over some supporters, despite a slow start to the season which saw his game time limited by fitness and injury issues.

However, he has now played 20 times for Tottenham, contributing two goals as well as a pass accuracy of 85% in the Premier League, which has led some fans to suggest he has been their player of the season so far.
That is high praise indeed considering he hasn’t exactly been prolific in the final third, so if he can begin adding to his productivity in a similar fashion to Eriksen, who scored 69 goals and assisted 89 for the club, then he will likely receive even greater praise.
Nevertheless, many supporters are still very impressed with the signing and are pleased to see the Argentine make his stay permanent, with some making comparisons to Eriksen and even Luka Modric.
Lo Celso has proved himself capable in attack previously, making 22 goal contributions for Real Betis last term, and it is now up to Jose Mourinho to get goals out of him once more, and ensure he is worth the reported £27m outlay that has been spent on him.
